DIVINE PROTECTION

” He will not let your feet slip; He who watches over you will not slumber ” Psalm 121:3.
Once Queen Victoria was travelling in a special train. Her special officers and security personnels were travelling with her. At night, quite unexpectedly the train came to a halt with a great jerk. The officers and security people were shocked because the train in which the queen was travelling should not be stopped. Queen also woke up suddenly and was irritated. She commanded them to bring the engine driver. The driver was brought before her and she asked him why he stopped the train suddenly. The driver told that, while driving, he saw a bright light beyond 200 feet. Amidst that light, he saw an angel raising his hands to stop the train. He was shocked at that sight and hence he stopped the train. Queen was greatly surprised and sent her officers to supervise the railway track. They saw the breach in the railway track beyond one mile, owing to heavy rain and the railway track was hanging terribly. If the train had come to that place, it would have fallen. But, by the Grace of God a major accident was averted. They reported the matter to the queen. On hearing this, all of them praised the Lord for saving them. This Psalm 121, expresses assurance and hope in God’s protection day and night. He is not only all-powerful but, also He watches over us all the time. Nothing diverts or deters Him. He is our reliable source of Strength and Protection. ” The Eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him ” 2Chronicles 16:9. When we trust the Power of God, we experience Peace not panic.
” Dear Lord, wherever I go, be my Rock of Refuge, a Fortress of Defence to save me. In Jesus’Name I pray “.–Amen.
