Once, a district collector went for supper to a hotel, which was decorated with beautiful lights. When he went inside, he was displeased to see the bad maintenance – the table covers, plates and tumblers were dirty; the servers wore dirty dress and there were flies all over the place. He didn’t eat well and decided not to come to that hotel thereafter. After a year, he happened to go over there and hesitated to enter inside. But, to his astonishment, there was a receptionist who welcomed him and showed him a nice place to sit. The table covers, curtains and everything was neat and beautiful.The servers were in neat uniform and they served tasty food wearing gloves. He enquired the receptionist about the vast change. He said,” The hotel management is shifted to another person “. When satan entered and became the manager of prodigal son’s heart, he became rebellious and showed arrogant disregard for his father’s authority as the head of the family. As a result, he stooped to eat the food of the pigs which was a great humiliation. When he thought about his father’s love and confessed, his stinking life was completely changed. So also, when satan occupies our heart, all sorts of evil find place in our lives. But, when Holy Spirit enters our hearts, we are re-created, living in vital union with Christ, producing the Fruit of the Spirit. At conversion, we are not merely turning over a new leaf, but we are beginning a new life under the New Master.
” Dear Lord, let me live each day controlled and guided by the Holy Spirit and thus spread the fragrance of Christ everywhere. In Jesus’Name I pray “–Amen.
