SEEK THE LORD

” The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing ” Psalm 34:10.
God knows our need and all those who call upon God in their need will be answered sometimes in unexpected ways. Here, comes the testimony of Bro. Sampath James, a missionary in U.P. in North India. In 1985, when he came as a missionary he had only twenty five rupees in his bank account. With no proper rental house, he with his wife and one year old son had to stay in a house with mud floor close to a drainage. One day, they had no food and he withdrew twenty rupees from his account to buy some food items. There was a temple near the bank and the pujari was giving prasatham to everyone. The missionary was watching from the other side of the road. The pujari called the missionary to get the prasatham from him. There was no food at home and it will take another three hours to prepare food. There came come oscillation in his mind. But, the Holy Spirit spoke definitely,” Do you want to eat this? Have I not chosen you? Have I not called you?”. The missionary was reminded of Psalm 34:10. Then he bought rice, dhal, vegetables and oil and walked towards his home. He heard a clapping sound and a Sikh man called him. He asked the missionary when he was going to cook the food stuff in his hand. He then went in and brought four vessels of cooked rice, roti and cooked vegetables and urged the missionary to take the food to his home. He said,” My children are hungry !”. The missionary was surprised and everyone at home was surprised looking at the food. The missionary went to thank the man who gave them the tasty food. But, he was not there. The people there said that there was no such person there. It was indeed a miracle ! God fed them that day ! Indeed those who seek the Lord, lack no good thing !
” Dear Lord, I praise You for Your Goodness. Lord, You always pay attention to those who call on You. Lord, I seek You for both my physical and spiritual nourishment and let me lack no good thing. In Jesus’Name I pray “.–Amen.
