TRUST GOD FOR THE RESULTS

” Neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow ” ( 1 Corinthians 3:7 )

Tom Vreman of the Dorcas Society Mission speaks about the patience required to work on a mission field. He told about a friend and his family who had traveled to the inner Mangolia region of China to proclaim the Gospel. For the first few years, all they did was, get settled and learn the customs of the people. After almost four years, his friend reported with great excitement that he was discipling his first three converts. But after another four years, the missionary gave this amazing report : The entire village had turned in faith to Christ. The new Christian converts began praying for the people in a neighboring town. The entire region is hearing the Gospel –  all because of one man and his family were willing to plant the seed and trust God for the results. The apostle Paul gave his life to do God’s work. Those who plant and those who water are nothing, but God gives the increase. Evangelism calls for patience. We may plant the seed as Paul did or we may water as did Apollos. The key is to do our part and leave the results to God.

” Dear Lord, let me become an useful member of God’s team in sowing the seed of Word of God and the message of salvation. Lord, I trust You to make it grow and bring people to Your Fold . In Jesus’Name I pray “.–Amen.
